Go To Emails From Galilee

  • "ABSOLUTELY keep sending the emails. What a rare opportunity we are being afforded to read first hand accounts of prophecy being fufilled. I forward the emails to other members of my family and share them with my RS sisters." - Melody

  • "I appreciate the opportunity to read these emails because they give us a different viewpoint of what we hear and see, living in the USA. It helps us to develop more compassion and be better prepared for what is possibly coming our way more directly. It has been incredible and very informative to say the least. Thank you for keeping us abreast of the world happenings, especially regarding LDS families." - Susie

  • "This is a firsthand account of a last days' event. Living history. Thanks." -Jen

  • "I find them fascinating, heart warming, disturbing and something we need to all wake up and see. Yes, please keep sending them. Some people just don't like to hear the truth!!!" - Lisa

  • "Ann's emails [are] very informative plus I know they are truthful which is more than I can say for the news on TV or the newspaper." Karla

  • "Where else can you get this kind of info. What a connection she has provide us with what is going on in the Middle East. She has opened my eyes and given me more understanding and knowledge about what is going on and I don't even agree with all her opinions and politics." - Noelle

  • "I have enjoyed and found very informative Ann's emails. She gives a perspective that you don't get from anywhere else. I had not realized that we had saints living in Israel. We just have a hard time understanding the mentality or mind set of the members of Hezbellah or the terrorists who would wantonly destroy another race of people. I guess we can see the influence Satan has in the hearts of men." - Nancy

  • I...read Ann's emails because I find them informative about people's lives living in another place where things aren't as hunky dory as here in SoCal. However I can understand that some might not agree with her point of view, she is (understandably) biased toward a certain point of view, one to which I subscribe but not everyone agrees with." - Tracy

  • "It has been such an eye opener to me to have her first hand perspective on the situation in Israel. Some of her letters bring me to tears. It amazes me just how much we take for granted every day---we live in a relatively safe land. We have food and water and luxuries that we don't even think about. We don't worry every day that a bomb or a rocket will hit us or our loved ones. We don't have shelters in our homes or nearby for just that purpose. Reading Ann's letters makes me wonder just how wicked this world has to get before our Heavenly Father says "Enough". I am so grateful for Ann's faith and I'm so awed by her courage and resilience." -Ellen

  • "I have been reading Ann's updates, or at least most of them. ...Like all mom's, have tons to do in any given day. I read them because they update me in Ann's personal, insider way, of what is going in Israel. Most of the time I do not like to watch the news--again my time is limited and quite often I find the news, local and world, to be extremely depressing. I started limiting watching the news...I really don't keep my head in the sand, but am very selected about listening to and watching the news." - Annette

  • "...They (Ann's emails) have been fascinating and my family and I have enjoyed them immensely... I have copied her emails and shared them with my children for family home evening and then I send them to my missionary so he can have some connection to the war. It has been great to be able to see the war from the Israeli perspective since all we see and hear in the news is the other side of the story." Patty Richards

  • "I find them gripping. They provide insight into a situation that is relevant to me as a Latter-day Saint, especially as a fellow mother of a missionary." -Ellen Johnson

  • "We are using them as part of our current events this year. I usually lurk on my lists, but this has become very important to us." -Deborah

  • "I find Ann's letters more engaging than off-topic recipes or travel mono logs (not including the ones about meeting with their missionarys)." -Teena

  • "I have recognized the political comments she has made; it would be unrealistic to expect anyone not to express opinions and emotions under the circumstances. ...I know people in the church with varied opinions on the Middle East situation, and some are extremely irrational and inflammatory. Whether someone agrees with her politically or not, it is thought provoking and sobering to read what she and others are experiencing first hand, as fellow human beings, on either side of the conflict." - Valerie

  • "I personally cannot imagine why any Latter-day Saint would not be interested in knowing about these things--to me these are very telling signs of the last days and we should be taking heed. ...I have shared the information in her emails with others (she said she didn't mind) that I work with who are very worldly and not LDS and they are absolutely fascinated to hear things from another perspective not found in mainstream media." - Cathy

  • "I have thoroughly enjoyed reading ann's e-mails. It makes the world seem like a much smaller place and that sisters all over the world are not as lucky as we are. They are the first thing I look for when I log on. Why should we bury our heads in the sand when these kind of things are happening." -Linda

  • "I like them (Ann's emails) because the news media does not do true justice to what's going on in that region and Ann's updates makes it more personal and real. Thank you." -Josie

  • "I have been grateful to receive the emails from Ann, and I know that my Sister and Brother-in-law have been reading them on their Canada site. ...I want my family to understand from Ann's perspective about the goings on and tire of hearing the daily news and on TV. I feel she is upmost informed on the situation because she is living it, it is so sad. I pray for her and her family." -Judy

  • "Although I appreciate her plight as a mother, I know there are two sides to this situation. I don't think this is the place to be airing such political opinions." - Susan

  • "As a sister in Zion...I have kept each e-mail...my missionary son knows nothing of what is going on in the world. I have kept Anne's e-mails for him to read when he returns home. My parents who are not members have read these e-mails and ask me how Anne is doing. I also have kept them and have re-read them. We are all brothers and sisters. What happens to one effects all.in some way or other. What ever their reason, they need to realize there are other people in this world, who for what ever reason are in world conflicts." - Mary

  • "I wanted you to know that I do read the updates from Ann and will continue to do so. I think it's important for us to know how the citizens feel and their perspective on what's happening in their country and not just what we see on the news. I was particuarly interested in the e-mail about preparedness." -Laura

  • "I have been reading Ann's emails...I guess because it has significance to what is going on in the world today. Do I enjoy them...no, I think they are extremely painful to read. I can't even imagine what she is going through as all those who are afflicted. Esp. because her one son is in the military and the other on a mission--what a contrast. I am sure she longs for peace yet knows it isn't likely to happen. Perhaps there are some of your readers who would prefer to maintain their illusions of peace on earth or at least in their corner of it. I know I would rather ignore what is going on but that is like ignoring the signs of the times." -Katie

  • Ann's information from Inside Israel is very important especially since our news here is so sadly biased. My son Kyle has returned from his mission (july 5th) and I haven't requested to be unsubscribed yet because of Ann's letters. The group helped me get through two years of my son serving in Brazil and I learned so many things through these wonderful people writing in asking questions and sharing ideas and information. You provide a service that is invaluable and I cannot imagine how anyone could turn away from a sister that feels her voice needs to be heard too as she gives great insight about this conflict. She has a son on a mission too (am I correct)?" (YES). -Teena

  • "I have found Ann's emails very interesting. I have traveled around Israel many times and have thought daily about the places and the saints there. I appreciate hearing her perspective. These are truly perilous imes." -Jynene

  • "I think that they (Ann's emails) are so insightful as to what is really going on over there. I am 52 and have lived a lot of my life hearing about problems in the middle east. When all this started recently I just tuned it out as being more of the same, until I read Ann's first email. Now I am praying for her and caring about her and her family and ward members." -Becky

  • "I have to say that I don't always read all the way through the e-mails from Ann. We have been so bogged down with so many reports from CNN etc. that quite frankly, I tend to huddle in my own little world. However, I don't just erase them until I have read part. Thank you for letting us in on a little bit of how our other sisters in the gospel are dealing with the tragedies in their part of the world." -Lori

  • "Yes, I appreciate you sending them on to us and would like you to continue. The emails have been very informative and while heartbreaking at times, help to get a better picture of what is really happening. I have been forwarding them on to my daughter and she too has appreciated Ann's comments." - Joan
